We provide complete services for the recruitment, selection and placement of Au Pairs, as well as administrative services for the visa/work permit process. Aupair Link would also like you to please note the new regulation in Switzerland regarding Au Pairs (effective January 1st, 2008): 1- Aupair candidates can be recruited anywhere in the world (it was before limited to certain countries like EU + Canada/Australia/USA/New Zealand). However, non EU candidates are subject to entry quotas and have the following restrictions: -Families must work with a licensed agency to obtain the necessary visa + work/residence permit (they can no longer apply directly). -Non EU Aupair candidates can stay one year only (no longer 18 to 24 months). -Non EU Aupair candidates must be between the ages of 18 to 25 (not to 30 anymore). 2-The main difference between old EU candidates and other countries is that the entry procedure has been simplified in 2004 (they do not require a special visa, only a residence permit) and they can still prolong their stay to a maximum of 2 years. For families who would like to hire a non EU Aupair, it is still important to speak the official cantonal language at home and make sure that their mother tongue is not the same as the Aupair. One of the parents should be at home 50% of the au pair work time (maximum 30 hours a week). The language school for the candidate is mandatory and paid by the family (120 hours).
