The mother-daughter relationship during adolescence is one of the most widely recognized and commonly shared challenges; and now you and your daughter can join a Mother Daughter Circle that will foster a greater relationship together. This could be a profound opportunity to help increase positive communication for both of you.
The program is made up of 8 sessions that last 1½ hours each. During these sessions, you will have whole group activities as well as small group components in which you and your daughter meet separately to address role-specific challenges, needs and strategies. The whole group comes together again for sharing of stories or messages, commitments, and acknowledgments. There will only be space for eight pairs of mother and daughters.
The Mother Daughter circle provides a safe, consistent, and strengths-based approach to supporting mothers and daughters and will encourage:

Facilitators:
Leslie Kuster, MSW LCSW, holds her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work and specializes in working with adolescents and their families. She is the creator and director of Girl Power in Switzerland which started in 2004. She is also in private practice in Zurich working individually with children, adolescents and adults. Leslie also conducts workshops in meditation, dance, and self-development, as well as offering the popular “The Whole Girl Approach: Raising Healthy Daughters in mind body and spirit” workshop. She lives in Zurich with her Swiss husband and is originally from New York City. Alison Weihofen a licensed certified social worker (LCSW) with an additional masters in public health (MPH) has a special interest in working with the adolescent population and has previously lead groups of girls in New York. Prior to moving to Zurich from Massachusetts, she was a psychotherapist and director of development for Northeast Healthy Services.
Girl Power Day! Girl Power Day is a fun action packed day for girls 7-10 years old to develop high self-esteem, confidence and self-knowledge through creative activities. Girl Power Day focuses on issues important to girls like friendship, positive thinking, body image, healthy eating, relaxation skills, and movement; and embraces a holistic approach of mind body and spirit.
