Albis/ZH

Park at the top of this mountain and walk either direction on the ridge. Walk to the southeast and you'll find a huge wooden tower which you can climb up for great views to Zurich and Zug. Walk to the northwest and you' ll come to Buchenegg with several restaurants. See Skiiing/Sledding. All seasons.

Felsenegg/ZH

Hours: Everday until 21:00 Adults Sfr 7.00 roundtrip on cablecar Children Sfr 3.50 roundtrip on cablecar Take a small cablecar up to the top of this ridge from Adliswil for beautiful walks and views. Walk to the southeast and find a small playground and restaurant - walk even further and you'll come to the Buchenegg. Walk to the northwest and you'll eventually come to the Uetliberg. All seasons.


Greifensee/ZH

This lake is perfect for biking around (it's about 20 km - too far to walk with children). You can also rent rowboats, feed the ducks and enjoy eating at the café restaurant. All seasons.



Pilatus

Take gondola and cablecar from Kriens (Luzern) to top (7'000 ft) (abt Sfr 75.00) , great views and walks. Bobsled run down in carts with brakes. Sfr 7.00 per run and room for one adult and one child in each cart. See Skiing/Sledding. All seasons.

Walk through the forest, visit the Nature Center with a wooden maze, question and answer boards (in German) all next to the Sihl River. Small shop and cafeteria (drinks and ice cream). Wild pigs exhibition about how they live. Admission for exhibitions adult Sfr 6.00, child Sfr 3.00, for family Sfr 14.00. Others areas are free. Always open. All seasons.

Access via funicular and cable cars (abt Sfr 75.00) to 3'050 meters. Restaurants on top as well as plenty of snow and beautiful views. On a clear day the Matterhorn, Jungfrau, Zurich and even Basel can be seen. See Skiing/Sledding. All seasons.



Uetliberg/ZH

Take a train from Zurich's main train station to the top of the Uetliberg for great views and walks. There is a tower, a Planetary Walk and continue south and you'll come to the Felsenegg (Adliswil).
