My name is Marie-Anne, I am Swiss and I offer German, Swiss German, French and Latin lessons, as well as professional corrections and translations of different texts. I have a Master degree in French and Italian literature and linguistics from Zurich University, a MAS in Secondary and Higher Education, as well as the Proficiency Certificate in English. I have taught languages for about 20 years and I've corrected and translated many texts, CV's, dissertations, motivation letters etc.

I teach children, young students and adults, privately or in small groups. For a few years, I was a teacher at the 'gymnasium' and at the 'Rudolf Steiner Schule'. Furthermore, I have taught at 'RHZ Sprachen', 'World of Languages' and other schools. At the moment, I am mostly independent and have my own language studio in Zurich Hottingen, but I also work as a tutor for LearningCulture and for the language school 'Sprachgourmet' in Zurich.
Learning German in Zurich is not so easy, since the spoken language is Swiss German, but I have been able to help many foreigners to understand, speak and write German. I can also teach you Swiss German or Business German or prepare you individually for a German diploma.
 
When I was 17, I already started to help other pupils in French, and I have enjoyed ever since being a tutor for children and teenagers, supporting them in French, Latin, German and Swiss German. And when I started my studies at Zurich university, I also began to teach German to foreigners in and around Zurich.
 
If you'd like to learn French, I will be happy to make you discover or improve this beautiful language. The lessons will be adapted to your individual needs - travelling vocabulary - business French - conversation - grammar - writing - preparation of a French certificate...
 
In addition to the languages I teach, I speak English, Italian, Spanish and Rhaeto-Romanic.
 
My language studio is in Zurich Hottingen, but I can also teach you at your company or at your home in Zurich.
 
It’s a great pleasure for me to teach languages and to adapt the lessons to the individual needs of every student. Apart from the various books I work with, I also use my own material, such as jokes, funny anecdotes, handouts, memes and pictures.
